I dont know how many times I have seen people spell it wrong - Even after all the games he has played, articles and reports written about him and the amount of threads concerning his welfare - his name still continues to be spelt wrong. Please learn from this thread.
In some instances, some of us do care. Because that's the way things are and getting them wrong is getting them wrong.
Particularly with all the players having similar names and the Euros, there is confusion. I wish I could beat with a stick people who mix up Visnovsky and Vishnevski to form a half-assed "Vishnovsky". Makes it soooo easy to know who they are talking about, you know.

True. But high school is a preparation for life. I don't have an A+ grammar but I make efforts and I don't see anything wrong with people pointing mistakes. Actually, someone sent me a PM the other day because of a mistake of mine and it was appreciated. I skip posts like that totally:
But spelling....if you make a mistake on one frigging letter, and we obviously know who that person is talking about...why is it such a big deal?
Actually, I don't know who he was talking about.
I've read the mistake frequently, in some poster's case, on a permanent basis. It's annoying.
It's like Heatly instead of Heatley. When you've got a 300-post thread where everybody refers to the guy as Heatley save one dimbulb who keeps on skipping the tragically obvious "E" post after post, it's aggravating.
Typos happen all the time and that's really not a big deal unless you are a pro writer. But if it's done repeatedly, it's probably not a typo. The worse that can happen is someone learning something tonight.
If you wonder why this is important, just imagine a second if we ALL stopped caring and wrote the names as we please. It would be freaking annoying :p
But hey, if this thread was started to dig at one guy in particular, I don't agree with that. Not very nice.
