I am so disappointed I can't be in Ottawa right now. I was going up for the May 2-4, but there might not be a game 5 or 6.

I'll get some phone calling done tomorrow for you.

You are one cool cat. I was half joking, but I seriously do think that people may need a little direction about where to congregate if we're going to create the best post-game celebrations in the city. It would also tell the national media where to send their cameras. It probably would lead to a certain amount of roudy behaviour, but hopefully people would be fairly well behaved. There will only be 5 more wins after all.

The market might be better than Elgin for the simple reason that the express buses could carry people directly from SBP to the market, and hopefully discourage drinking and driving.

People need alot of direction! People need to be shown the way and they will go!

Oh come on. What good is a riot with attention to law and order. This is a riot we're talking about here. Legal celebrations are fine, but legal riots are just wrong. When was the last time you encountered a ruly mob?

I hate invading your board but if you do get it done Wednesday, go ahead and celebrate because you deserve it. Before it is all over, you guys have PROVEN to be the far better team. You have kicked our butts in every aspect and only a fan with total blinders would refuse to say so.

Glad to see you learned for past mistakes and the team you have is fanastic!

Regardless as to whether it is Wednesday or Saturday, the finals is a foregone conclusion. Win it for the East.

Good luck Ottawa, hope you bring the cup home for Canada na dthe Northeast division!

I can set some things on fire but I'm not taking any of my clothes off. Also, someone will have to drive me from Toronto.

How can we have a riot, when we haven't even put together a first draft of our riot implementation action plan yet? Quick, somebody form a working group! I'll get busy engaging the stakeholders.

Why would fans riot after winning the ECF? The goal is to win the Stanley Cup, save the big celebrations for if we win the Cup.

I still have a hard time believing what you say you have seen as there weren't any reports in the papers on this.

Yes it is true we do not go dowtown and party it up like animals and vandalize property like you guys did last year , and there may not be a car flag on every single car. Still , last weekend I was downtown after the Sens won in double OT and people were going nutz , it definitely has to grow in numbers but it was pretty wild. There were people running down the streets waving flags and pom poms and people were drinking in the street and a group of girls flashed too.
Ottawa's "Be Red Mile" is slowly getting built up and by word of mouth I hope more people start heading down so it is HUGE for the finals and gets some media attention.
OK sorry to ask you guys an honest question. I was just wondering what the excitement level in Ottawa was. I used Edmonton as an example b/c there was so much passion and excitement in this city (besides the idiots who burnt phone booths and probably weren't even real hockey fans) and I was wondering if Ottawa fans were as passionate and excited about the run Ottawa is having right now.

If we win I'm planning in participating in the first or second syllable of a rousing Hip Hip Hooray.

Was wondering just how many people would be up for flashing , certain girls do it for the fun but certain girls do it cause they are drunk. Alot of girls don't do it cause they are afraid it will end up on the internet which it very well could. If you recall Calgary , every second girl would lift her shirt and than it would end up on that site.

We'll see what happens , but people gotta step up the partying! We got to start attracting the media.

You forgot the irresistable lure of mass produced plastic beads.

Perhaps we should keep our clothes on for greater media exposure, unless we want to be the only fans to have our celebrations featured on Showcase "after dark" or something.

The flashing is a main thing that gets any sort of attention. The media loves scandalous and without it , it's just a bunch of yelling drunk people so no big deal there. There will definitley be some flashing just how much , and keep in mind all the flashing isin't always a good thing
