Is that faint hope we detect there slats432

I'm not changing 5 - 2 Oilers. I'll be right eventually that's if I don't die of old age first!

5-2 for the flamers. i hate to say this but the flames are a much better team than the oilers. as LT continually points out mact is aging almost every game and i expect him to get a few more white hairs tonight, a shot of tequila will cure that fire.

The Flames are a quality team, I love their defense. The scoring has been shared (5 players with 7 or more goals), Donovan is having one of the great freak seasons of all time, and Iginla is well into a hot streak.

Still, the Oilers aren't as bad as they've played, and tonight is as good a time as any to get a win.

I'll say 5-4 Oil.

On a related note, I want to wish everyone Merry Christmas since I doubt I'll be back on the boards for a week or so.

I think this are the lines from what I've heard.

Smyth - Oates - Isbister
Torres - York - Hemsky
Pisani - Horcoff - Dvorak
Chimera - Stoll - Laraque

Moreau is out with an injured shoulder.

Anyone have the defense pairings.

The Oilers respond with a spirited effort, but once again we can't put a puck in the ocean. 4-1 Calgary, Torres with the lone marker.

Supposedly Ferguson is sitting again, so we should have the same 6 d-men, not sure about the pairings.

wouldn't it be nice to see any one of:

a 3.9 mill goalie steal a game

a 3.4 mill forward be a power porward

izzy push a guy around

laraque push a guy around

hemsky have a 4 point night

any frickin dman get the puck to the goal from the point

an entire game without a pp goal against

just one frickin oiler take an extra step to hit a guy. Just one time where we aren't gentlemen. Just once it would be nice for a team not to enjoy playing against us.

Salo was laying on his back, after giving up another rebound, hoping the puck would hit him....it didnt.

That move is beginning to look like a broken record. Perhaps Salo's scramble move is stuck in groundhog's day like Bill Murray. The only difference is every opposing player is aware of it.

Okay, I have a positive: twice in that period Semenov used his body wisely, once against Iginla.

That's all I've got, anyone else?

Although this has been the norm lately......Smith handed out 2 punishing bodychecks in a row.

Ok, is it just me or has the reffing been crap? First off Stoll gets a penalty because he was pushed into Kiprusoff's glove. Then, later in the period, Jason Smith pushes Donvan into Salo and SMITH GETS A PENALTY. Then there was the missed high stick call on York. And I don't know if this is a penalty, but on the Flames goal, first a Flame jumped on Salo's feet while he was on the groud, then Oates got PUSHED on top of Salo. Is it just me?

It's Michael Macgeou (sp?), what do you expect. Anything happen to Chimera as he only played 1:46 in the first period.

Probably due to the penalties. His shifts got screwed around by them?

Listening on radio and I don't know
