What would it take?

What would the Leafs have to send to any of the teams ahead of the in the draft to get a better pick? (ex: Kubina + 13th overall to Edmonton for 6th overall?)

and

are there any good proposals/rumours concerning the leafs?
Anyone willing to take McCabe's contract if he waives hit NMC?

More like white to move up the draft order.

I can't see any teams willingly accepting Kubina in a trade. If the Leafs want to move into the top 5 or 6, they're going to have to make pretty good offer. After the 6th pick, the draft tapers off IMO.

Often brought up on the Leafs Board. Just curious. What teams would accept this offer?

Rebuild. Which is something they should have done at the trade deadline. They are always going to be a borderline playoff team(seeded 6-12), with first round picks in the 10-20 range. But as long as Leaf fans still have that hope of just making the playoffs, they will still support this horribly run franchise...

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what this response has to do with the question being asked?

Can you explain how this relates?

Tlusty and a 3rd, might get you there. But I don't think this would be the right move for the Leafs. Better to try and get some good scouts and wait for the your team to rebuild from within, which might mean losing for 2 more years....

P.S. Trading Sundin for a prospect package would significantly speed things up.
