not trying to start a fluff thread on him, but Id like to hear opinions on his NHL potential, hes got 6 goals in the playoffs so far

I think the best place to find the answer to your question is in the article itself.
But I will tell you this much...I've watched him play in person all year and he has the tools to be an NHL player. He'll never be a huge goal scorer,which he himself admits,but he'll be a very decent 3rd line player.

I agree with Axe. LaVallee has developed nicely over the course of the year. Give him another year in the minors to learn to perform at a high level every game, and he could be a good third liner.
