I saw Sheldon Souray and Craig Rivet at the Heart N Crown the day before the last Habs-Sens game. They're not Sens, I know, but they were in Ottawa.

I've had a number of encounters, especially when I lived in Kanata.

I used to go to Pesto's Deli a lot and many of the Euros hang there especially during summer. It was a few years ago during World Cup and I grabbed a spot at the counter for lunch. Alfie was there right beside me having his lunch. I made small talk w/ him over the course of the lunch and we spoke about things other than hockey. When I left, I just smiled and said we all hoped he'd be back in September (was a contract year). Everything said about this guy is 100% - he'll be an Ottawa legend when all is said and done.

Met Patrick Lalime buying dog food on the night after he set a playoff record of sorts in the Philly series a few years ago and pitched another shutout in regulation. Very humble guy - just gave him a knowing nod. Also nearly hit him during the playoffs in the following year on a bike path - he was walking with his wife and nearly clipped him with my bike.... ooops.

I would see Chris Neil in a beater truck he used to drive around doing errands at the Kanata Centrum.

One very cold winter night about a decade ago I saw Alexei Yashin letting his GF (pre-Carol Alt) pump gas while he sat in the truck. Seriously.

Met Radek Bonk at a charity pool tourney many years ago. He was quiet at first, then after a while he loosened up. He has a bit of a shy personality, but turns out he's really, really funny. I could see him being a good locker-room guy actually.

I think I've told this before but I met John Muckler at Loblaws in Kanata a couple years ago, it was early morning and he was buying his newspaper and sushi I believe. I have his autograph on the back of his reciept. Yes he was wearing a sweater a nice black one, nice guy to.

I also met Marc Andre Fleury at Sportchek in Kanata, the day after game 1. It was very hard not to comment on that game.

I haven't met any of the Sens, but one of my friends told me a cool story about a guy that he works with. Apparently, this guy and his son went to East Side Mario's for dinner and spotted Dany Heatley in the bar area, so they went to his table and asked for an autograph. The guy's son asked Heatley to score a goal for him the next game and he resonded, "What? Just one?". So the kid goes..."okay, how about two?". Heatley says he'll do his best and actually did score twice the next game.

I saw Bryan Murray at the Second Cup in Carlingwood Mall tonight. He was talking on his silver RAZR and looked to be in an important conversation, while his wife just sat with him.

Mat Jaques Martin last year before one of the Sens Playoffs games against Tampa, I walked into work for the closing shift and he was standing at one of the cashes, shook his hand and asked him who he was rooting for that night . No answer to that, but apperently he knows my boss, they are golf buddies...

I've actually met all the Sens this year, I collect Autographs so I got a bunch from them this season, many nice guys on the team.

O, and Lyd...Im sueing you for using my picture on the internet :p...I kid...

Damn, I was at Carlingwood tonight too.

I really haven't met any Senators at all, even at public events. I went to a signing almost a decade ago at Otto's in Westboro, it was supposed to be Tugnutt and Redden but only Tugnutt showed up. We wrote down our addresses and were mailed signed Redden cards later which was pretty cool. I'm not much for bothering them in their personal time (the fact that I don't live in Kanata or go to the Rideau Centre helps too). I also don't really hear about any of these official signing sessions, so if you guys know of any coming up give me a heads up.

I used to hang out after games to get autographs when i was younger so I've met a few players. Alfredsson, Yashin, Chorske, Laukannen. My friend handed Tom Chorske a card to sign, only he gave him a Pat Elnyuk card by mistake. Chorke says "I can't sign that I'm not Pat Elnyuk". My friend was embarrased and I laughed at him.

I did co-op with The Senators in high school working in the publications department, so I met Sami Salo and Arvedson.

Also a supervisor at my work told me a story about Redden the other day. He wasn't there, but a friend of his was at a bar one night, when all of sudden someone grabbed her ass. She turned around and it was Redden. She said what the hell are you doing? Wade goes "don't you know who i am"? She then proceeded to throw a drink in his face.

Also i saw Randy Cunneyworth at the Kanata bowling lanes like 10 years ago.

That sounds like a common "incident" with famous people. Definitely fake.

I'm not saying it's untrue but your friend wasn't there to see it so...

I seriously doubt that. It's totally outside his personality. I've seen a bunch of the guys out on the town before. If it was, say, Gratts or Emery, then yeah I'd believe you.

He's not a Senator. But a few years ago when the Memorial Cup was in Guelph I ran into Marcel Dionne.

Probably something you don't want to hear, but about 2 years ago at a Guelph Storm game I ran into Chris Pronger.. Talking on his cell, and wearing a very nice suit, but man that guy is a giant.

No reason to kick his ass two years ago.
