Pecker's still toiling away in the AHL.

Crowley went to the Wild org after the Ducks, but retired fairly shortly after that.

Pecker was signed to a UFA one-year contract with the Senators prior to this year and played with Binghamton for the entire season.

6th round pick by Calgary in 1999. They did not sign him and he became a free agent. Scores 53 goals in the OHL in his overage season. So a few NHL teams were interested. Anaheim signed him to an entry contract. Pecker actually scores 20 goals in his rookie AHL season but then really takes a big step backwards in the next two seasons as he struggles for playing time. After the Ducks let him go he performed well enough in the ECHL and AHL to earn a 1 year deal in the Ottawa organization. He had 47 points (17 of them goals) in 78 games for Binghamton in the AHL this season. At 26 years old he is a semi-productive AHLer who will never play a game in the NHL.

I remember Pecker, everyone liked just for his name. But he does have a good sense of humor about it, which is good.

I liked Crowley, too bad he had some kind of injury or something that forced him to retire early.

When I read the title I thought this was some league wide nickname for Corry Perry. LOL. If we ever lose CP (God I hope not) then that will be his nickname.

I liked Crowley too. he had lots of talent, offensive talent. I hoped he would have panned out, but his size I think was the issue. too bad. He tore up College with the Gophers.

Pecker spent last year in Binghamton.

OK AHL player. Great people person.

I have a handicapped son that idolizes "Peck". Cory always took time to make sure my son got the pictures he wanted as well as any autographs.

At the end of our horrid year this year in Binghamton the BSens wore and auctioned off Special Olympic jerseys with the profits going to the local Special Olympics chapter. Arrangements were made for my son to drop the ceremonial puck and after the game my son won his jersey at the auction.

Cory may never make the NHL but there is a young man in Binghamton that will never forget him,

I think there was a guy in the OHL that played for St.Mikes called Mick Foley. He may have also been the goaltender.

I've always wished good things for him. He's battled Crohn's disease most of is life, and it'd be great if he someday made it into the bigs.

Pecker plays hard. He's got good wood most of the time and can shoot wherever he wants to.

The classic (and true) story that relates to Cory is that in 2001, he and Brad Boyes were on the Erie Otters and after they were the #'s 1 and 2 stars of a playoff game, the headline in the Erie paper said: BOYES, PECKER LEAD OTTERS TO VICTORY.

Great headline.
