McGrattan in?

Apparently Murray told the team1200 this afternoon that he'll be using McGrattan on Saturday.

Now, I didnt hear this or was I listening to the team today, but this is what I've been told. Anyone else hear this?

Would appreciate if someone posted it. Got no clue why we're still on ignore.

There you go Thio.

Would this mean no Saprykin? He's been one of the few Sens who looks to be putting an effort in.

Someone I know mentioned this to me and I told them they were nutz and it's BS. Wow , this is very surprising if it's true. Give the team an edge and alot of attitutde. Mcgrattan can be quite the spark!

Hope this is indeed true

This is a desperate move if it's true.

As much as I love McGrattan he is not going to do anything but take a dumb penalty and give the Ducks a 5 minute powerplay.

Dress Eaves instead while you still have some sanity.

Yeah what is Murray going to do...start McGrattan? Big Ern will go after Selanne or Rob Niedermayer, the latter will back away then McGrattan will get an instigator.

Anaheim will score one or two goals then oops! we have to play catchup.

If this team needs McGrattan to get motivated about a Cup finals, it has bigger problems than it seems.

If you're sitting for two months, you'd be pretty amazed in how excited one would be. How much they could do for that 4th line.

Ya never know folks.. Ya just never know.

McGrattan playing three shifts would serve what purpose exactly?

I really hope not. I like McGrattan very much, but I don't see the fourth line as the problem.

If Neil is hurt, maybe put McGrattan in in his place. Maybe.

Do something stupid on one of the shifts and injure Pronger or Giguere for the rest of the series.

No complaints from me.

Would you trade that for Alfie being put on a stretcher or Emery having his throat cut by a skate blade? Because if it goes to a blood war, we have more to lose than Anaheim by far.

I sure wouldn't...not to mention that Bryzgalov is a very good goalie as well.
Sounds like a dumb idea.

****, the Sens can handle themselves, I am a fan of old school hockey, I love a nasty game. Theres a difference between McGrattan throwing a late hit on Pronger or running into Giguere and Emery getting his throat cut by a skate blade would you not agree?

You're talking about taking intentionally injuring players and taking them out of series.
I'm a fan of Emery, I have nothing against Gigučre. My point is that if McGrattan takes out Gigučre, there will be retaliation. How many players do we want to lose for this?

Are you ready to sacrifice Emery for Gigučre? Are you ready to sacrifice Alfredsson for Pronger? And the 'Sens can handle themselves'? They obviously haven't been able to this series.

gratts is not out there to intentionally hurt anyone
if he even plays, hopefully it will be his size that does something. lay some good hits, get in a few faces... you just never know.

but the intentional stuff is stupid. puts a guy in a stretcher? no way

Now this Brandi I can agree with!

If Grats can take someone off their game then great!

But the taking people out? I don't want our team to do it, I don't want their team to do it.

Sorry Fuhr if I got ya upset there!

When I read the thread title, I had flashbacks of Andre Roy being dressed in Game-3 by Jacques "le facques" Martin, only for him to take a dumb/costly penalty when he continuously got in McCabe's ugly face eventhough the refs warned him several times on the same play.

But I am glad to know that this rumour has not been confirmed, because there is no way in hell Gratts plays at this time of the year - as much as I love the guy on my team.

I never said intentionally do it but if it happened I would not complain, the same way I would not complain if Neil caught Getzlaf with a hit that was a borderline dirty or if Volchenkov caught Pahlsson with a late hit.

Thats hockey

Neil is hurt and their team is taking advantage of it. Put Gratts in and let him run their star players.

Mcgrattan can't skate so he's pretty much unable to hit anything.

That didn't stop Luke Richardson, the only human being alive who could make Hatcher look swift.

True say.

I'm going to ***** if this guy gets into the lineup. He has virtually no real hockey skill other than fighting, which makes him a useless hockey player for 95% of the year.
