Does this play any effect in the SCF when both teams are traveling a large distance between games, especially when the time zones are pretty much polar opposites? If it was (for example) Buffalo/Detroit in the finals, the time difference wouldn't have an effect. Does traveling from coast to coast make a big difference? Obviously meal times are put out of whack, as well as sleeping. Is 3-4 days enough time to adjust? Thoughts?
I would not think so since the game times are all 8PM ET. All the players have to do is keep their body clocks to that time. It just means your eating your waking up at weird hours in California but its really the same ET by your body clock.
I think Alfie was quoted in the media that he was just going to stay on Eastern time. Still, having to sit for five hours on a plane is tiring. The Ducks will be more used to the travel being in the West, and I remember in the old days, the Sens always used to have trouble playing in California.
