why no Paris?

I was just wondering if anyone could enlighten me as to why there is no team based in Paris in the Ligue Magnus. Is this due to a relagation system or something. I know there used to be a few and they seems like those teams were successful:
* 1904 : Patineurs de Paris.
* 1905 : Patineurs de Paris.
* 1906 : Patineurs de Paris.
* 1908 : Patineurs de Paris.
* 1912 : Patineurs de Paris.
* 1913 : Patineurs de Paris.
* 1914 : Patineurs de Paris.
* 1920 : Skating Club Paris.
* 1921 : Sports d’Hiver Paris.
* 1922 : Sports d’Hiver Paris.
* 1932 : Stade Français Paris.
* 1933 : Stade Français Paris.
* 1934 : Rapides de Paris.
* 1935 : Stade Français Paris.
* 1936 : Français Volants Paris.
* 1937 : Français Volants Paris.
* 1938 : Français Volants Paris.
* 1950 : Racing Club de Paris.
* 1951 : Racing Club de Paris.
* 1953 : Paris Université Club.
* 1989 : Français Volants de Paris.

Also anyone who could translate the names for me it would appretiated.

Hi,

I don't know why Paris hasn't any teams in the Ligue Magnus.

For the translations:

Patineurs = skaters
Sports d'hiver = wintersports
Stade Français = french stadium
Français volants = flying french people

Cheers

Cos Paris has no interest whatsoever for ice hockey. The citizens like the council...

Useless to schearch too far.

Paris has, I think two total rinks within the city limits that can actually have the ability to host an ice hockey game. Neither are equipped to handle larger crowds.

Roller Hockey has a small, but very loyal following in Paris, there are regular games behind gare de lyon and somewhere close to Republique, though I cannot immediately recall the name of the street the park is on at which they play.
