Lowe would never trade for Jagr, he knows Jagr is happy in NY, he loves the players here, if he would be trade it would be a new envirenment, and with Jagrs shyness, and weird personality, he might just call it quits in the NHL and play in Russia for a couple year until he retires

You could add Bertuzzi, Palffy and Connoly (to a certain extent) to that line up. Jesus Christ - that is absolutely scary. Give'em good coach and it's a dynasty.

I'm no Eklund fan, but he did mention it was a "bizarre" rumor. Is there a possibility Eklund created the "bizarre" rumor? Yes, but he didn't report it as gospel.

Forgot about Bertuzzi. And Brewer. Yeah, a little scary when you think of what could have been.

Bertuzzi-Heatly-Jokinen (no real thought about positions here)
Palffy- Spezza
Pyat-Connoly

Chara-Redden
Mcabe-Brewer

Luongo

And Brewer? Jesus. All these losses make our losses of Zubov, Weight, Amonte, Marchant, Norstrom, Cloutier look insignificant. What the Islanders have experienced in those years is simply a catastrophe. Is there anything in sports that comes close to that shocking loss of talent by the Isles?

Huh? This makes no sense given all the circumstances

Even if we did get a good return I'd rather he stay here for another year or two as he's one of my favorite players

Losing Cloutier could be considered a gain.
