I read that this morning in the STL paper and the article was very well written and very touching. Just another article to remind us fans that these players other than being elite athletes have the same problems as an average joe. The money they make helps them deal with it but it doesnt make the problems less real or painful.
Mellanby is on pace for 30 points this season
so he better pick up the pace or he will be an average joe!
He has been slowed by injuries and I think 30-40 points by Mellanby while not quite what you need from a top line winger are more acceptable in his case because he does lots of things that help you win that dont show up on the scoresheet and he will make a difference in crunch time for the Blues you never have to worry about him elevating his game at key times. You always get 110% from Mellanby.
He is sort of like the Blues Wendel Clark, Sure he wasnt as effective towards the end but he will still make a difference by being a leader and doing the little things.
