What would happen in Philly if the Flyers were to win the Cup?

Mass riots? Explosions? Certain doom?

All I know is that the entire city would explode (figuratively) if ANY team won a championship. Think the riots in Denver when the Broncos won but multiplied by 10000.

I'm just not sure how the flying cars and rocket ships in every garage that are standard by the time the Flyers win would fit into all of this, though.

All I know is I'd be drunk and naked for the whole week after.

A volatile mixture of euphoria and Armageddon; it would truly be a sight to behold, one in which I'll most certainly be taking part... in the nude, with numerous alcoholic beverages and stupendous drugs in hand.

Yeah, the feeling of complete and utter euphoria wouldn't subside for quite a long time.

4 million people would be at the parade, I'm not even joking.

I'd camp overnight for as long as I needed to to have my spot there.

It would be the largest parade in the history of mankind.

I would be the highest person in recorded history + I would probably drink myself to death. All that followed by me crying my eyes out...and like everyone else...being naked.

The parade will probably turn deadly, and a riot will occur.

I could die a happy man.

Also i will laugh at all the bandwagon riders....us true flyers fans will have the last laugh at the media.

EDIT: I would laugh at GKJ and the rest of our mods having to try and control every thread about us winning the cup and how beligerant i will be when we win. You thought I've been a pain in the past...I will probably go to hell following my posts. Also every team in the league will cry and hate us even more.

It'll be like when the Red Sox won the World Series, only bigger and louder.

Ha. You think I pulled 4 million out of my ass? 3 million would have jumped on the bandwagon because they're bored and another 500,000 will be because they just want to say they were there.

the people i wouldnt mind as much but the media would make me sick, especially Eskin who buries hockey every chance he gets. i really hope the eagles never ever win as that i couldnt stomach with their idiot fans or at least the flyers win first.
Sadly they have the best shot as of now but i dont think they will win anytime soon.

I would honestly pay any amount of money to get a flight down for the parade.

Any. Amount. Of. Money.

It would be insane.

The streets will flow with a mixture of Yuengling and blood.

Well, even more than usual.

Also, there will be a jersey put on the Rocky statue.

And I will be drunk.

See, the big question is...what would you do if the Eagles won a championship...The entire city would be destroyed and flooded, buildings would be burned and it would be declared a national disaster area after the 14th consecutive day of celebration.

WHEN the Flyers win, I'm fairly certain I will be crying happy tears for a decade or so. I will plot ways to exact revenge on all the Devils and Ranger fans who have busted my chops over the years. And finally, and most importantly, I will be in my car on my way to Philly to be at the parade I've been waiting for since '93. I guess I'll be the only one there with clothes on though.

Personally i'm not convinced that it would be nearly as violent as some of you are describing. Chaotic? Definitely.

Armageddon.

Let's hope the Flyers win first, so we actually will still have a city in which to celebrate.

i would love to get down to philly for that. but if i didn't i would meet up with my fellow flyers fans(and there are not a lot of us-its all oilers, habs, leafs) in the area and do the same thing everyone in philly would do. drink till our liver blows, a few bong hits and wreck stuff. take a week off of work.

give my lawyer a blank check to post bail.

I was thinking that there would be a lot of flights booked to Philadelphia in the hours after the last game.

Native Philadelphian's would flood back into the city. And the ones still there will be celebrating like there's no tomorrow.
