Even though I was rooting for Ottawa, I couldn't help smiling once the Ducks lifted up the cup..happens every year to every team (except the Devils of course)

I can't wait until we win it. Few feelings are better in the world. I think it's going to happen soon too.

I was rooting for the Sens as well, but a crying Teemu Selanne made me feel bad for doing so. The Ducks have the horses to be VERY good for VERY long time.

Love Selanne getting his ring, he's been an awesome player, good ambassador of the game.

Tough on Ottawa 9 day layoff......ouch...hard to get it going after such a long layoff.

You know Bettman's loving this " The first west coast team to win the cup;........ The Ducks did it in 14 years.....( I don't know if thats something to brag about, but hey it's bettman he still looking for that elusive clue)

I wanted Ottawa to win because I hate Pronger, but oh well... Congrats Ducks.

Disappointment of a Final though. Ottawa was dominant in the first three rounds and went out without a fight in the finals.

A lot of credit has to be given to the GM for this cup. Great trades, great development, draft picks and implementation of the youth.

Nice job by the players and a stellar job by JS G.
Very nice to see such a great player in Selanne ressurect his career and win it in tears. Always nice to see a veteran whos never won it before finally reach their goal.

Congratulations Ducks. Now the West Coast has a cup.

Season over. Rooting for other teams over.

Now, the draft.

LETS GO RANGERS!

Assuming Selanne retires in the offseason, is he HHOF material?

Yeah i felt a little of that too, but i guess thats how the sport is suppossed to build. Hopefully the orginal six will win a few out of the next 5 or something.

Absolutley, especially now with a championship.

Rookie of the Year
10 All-Star games (1 MVP)
Rocket Richard Trophy
Bill Masterson Award
540 Goals
595 Assists
1135 Points in 1041 games
a career 15.59 Sh%
62 points in 85 playoff games and now a Stanley Cup.

I would consider it, maybe not a first ballot but he'll get in.

Also, arguably the best Finnish player to ever play in the NHL which has its own significance in the HHOF.

I hear yah, but it isn't like they went down to the beach, grabbed 20 surfers and said hey let's go play hockey. They deserved it, and I'm very glad Selanne finally got one. As for Pronger, man I don't know how the people of Edmonton could hate his wife lol.

540 goals and 1135 points gets you in on the first ballot, or should anyway.

I also liked the story line of the two brothers winning it together. Everyone grows up playing in their drive way announcing the game winning goal for the Stanley Cup together but few ever win it together, so I found that to be pretty special.

the onlything the Rangers had on the Ducks this season was secret weapon Blair Betts. He would have been used for another end-to-end goal IF the Rangers met the Ducks in the Finals!

Anyway congrats to Pronger, Selanne, and most of all Giggy who got robbed by the Devils in 2003.

Wait a minute, we beat the Ducks this year... WITH Weekes in net... doesn't that mean we would have beat them in the finals with the King in net??

Congrats Ducks, simply dominating.. too bad no one cares in Anaheim.

Pronger had such a sick goal top corner glove on Weekes in that game.

long story, but i know that since the movies and the Devils series, I wanted Anaheim (Mighty or not) to win it..

Teemu, wow.. i remember when i though his name was T. Musalanee.. i was a youngin'..

Rob and Scott, what a memory to literally last a life time, a dream that they might not have even had when they were kids. s

etc, etc, etc, etc...

Bettman was SO happy a new market won it!

Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack!

What a solid solid team. Top to bottom. From the goalie, to the defense, to the forwards, to the coaching staff, and up to Burke. And they play a brand of hockey that you have to respect. Hard nosed, in your face, tough hockey. The way it was meant to be played. I hope other teams follow suit. I know the NHL wants the Sabre team to be the "New NHL Team", but I sure hope teams model their franchises around the Ducks team instead.
