Will the Flyers acquire a goalie this season?

It's a simple question. What do you think? No matter what the trade is, do you think we'll get a goalie? Please vote.

No, I don't think we're going to acquire a goaltender this year.

I dont think so. We've got a solid duo in Hack/Esche. And if one would come to fail (i.e Hack), Esche would be promoted as our #1 in a second.

but a defenseman, I wouldn't say no...

Well, Larry Brooks says that we are looking for a goalie...

Quote:
Months after Bob Clarke ridiculed reports that he had made a pitch for Mike Comrie, the deal was made that added another very good player to the very good Philadelphia roster but did not address the team's singular issue in goal. Comrie's addition, however, makes it likely that the Flyers will use one of their now- excess centers to deal with the problem.

We're told by a source close to the situation that the most likely target will become Nikolai Khabibulin, expendable in Tampa Bay both because of his contract and John Grahame's strong work as backup. And with the Lightning in desperate need of size down the middle, expect Keith Primeau to be the center- piece of a deal for Khabibulin.
Whatever...

Brooks

No, the Clarke has consistantly failed to get a goalie to win the cup. I dont think its going to start in the next 3-4 months.

This really makes me laugh. first Hackett has a no trade clause, this has been pointed out before. second Esche is our future #1 if he isnt allready. so do you carry 3 goalies?
Hackett has been terrible the last week plus. I wish Esche would have started tonite but i guess you dont want to test the groin pull he has too much right away.
It probably wouldnt have mattered the Thrashers beat us to all the loose pucks, were the more hungry team and capatalized on every single mistake we made.

Talk about hypocritical on NY's part.
