MUST buy into the HOSSA.

He showed glimpses of great player late last season and he even made Jagr a better player with his hard work and passing skills.

Man at times last season Hossa, Nylander and Jagr looked positively UNSTOPPABLE. He hung right in there with the posession game.

I'm not 100% sold on Hossa but he showed me something really good. Trading him, dropping him now would be a big mistake. He would surely go to another team and breakout into a quasi superstar

Last year we all wanted the Rangers to sign one of the BIG UFA defencemen and look what happened?

Won't be surprised if we sign one or two of the lesser sought after free agents rather than overpay for Drury.

Than again we did go HARD after Elias offering him a FAT contract.

Elias was plan A

Cullen, Ward I guess was plan B

Imagine if he scores like 30 goals and 70 pts playing with Jagr next season, suddenly he is a 3-4 million player...

If we could sign him to a 4.5m 3y deal he could end up beeing a real steal, if not we could always get rid of him. Low risk high reward.
Which is exactly why Hossa is going to push for a 1-year deal with a modest raise. If he signs for more than 2 years, he needs to fire his agent.

Must? Hossa is a MUST? Yes, he looked great for 11 games. How did he look in the prior 50? How has he looked in all of the prior years of his career?

And now Hossa made Jagr a better player? Now I heard everything. Hossa was nothing on any line, with anybody, until he played with Jagr. Jagr NEEDS Hossa about as much as a fish needs a bicycle.

For the record, when Prucha got a chance to play with Jagr on the same line, he looked every bit as good. The difference between the two? Prucha still manages to put pucks into the net when he is seperated from Jagr.

All this from 11 games?
