Comrie a Flame?

For Iginla

Mikeys under contract....so he can't tell Bobby where he wants to go. Perhaps Calgary has designs with trading with the Ducks?

Could all be crap.........

I think that line says it all really.

Seriously though, I can't see it happening.

Does anybody else have this problem? After every attempt to open up a Sportsnet link, no matter where it's located on the site, there's a redirect to "Select Your Region."

Sportsnet.ca got it from cbssportsline.com, who got it from a Bruce Dowbiggin article in the Herald.

This all goes back to our very own, monumental twit, who has had a hard on for trading Iginla since Bruce Almighty came to town.

And like Mike Rogers said during the pre-game last night, why would Darryl Sutter want to have to deal with Mike Comrie for a new contract next year? Why would anyone?

I can think of about 7.5 million reasons why

You're going to have to explain that one to me.

Hey if Iginla has to go, how about this.....

Iginla and a draft pick (2nd or 3rd maybe)
for
Lecavalier and Stillman

I know I know, noboby likes Stillman, don't worry, neither do I, but it has to be done to even up the salaries more, since I don't believe Feaster wants to take on huge amounts of salary and I think the Flames could get Vinny if Iginla is involved....I like this better since Vinny > Mike and this leaves us with the ability to trade a center in a package with maybe even Stillman or a d-man for a RW....I could see things like this

Reinprecht-Lombardi-McAmmond (for now)
Saprykin-Lecavalier-Stillman(for now, I think he can play anywhere)
Gelinas-Yelle-Donovan
Oliwa-Betts-Clark
Lowry/Kobasew

The Regular D

I think then they could package Conroy (conveniently left out above) with McAmmond or Stillman and maybe even a D for a solid (yet cheaper) RW and some picks or prospects.

The only problem I would have would be how it affects the leadership on the club, but if Iginla must go, maybe a complete leadership change is in order This wouldn't really lose us all that much experience, but they are the key leaders so it would hurt for sure. I don't know. This will save us money, and we should be very much under budget after Turek is gotten for cheaper or ridded completely in a year or two.

I always have that problem.

I don't even bother trying to open Sportsnet links anymore.

Because there is no way Comrie is going to want 7.5 million dollars, iginla's current salary, therefore hammering out a deal should not be one of the negatives of the comrie-iginla trade
