downey takes a cheap shot, mckenzie comes flying in and punches him in the face, refs jump in. schnabel wants a piece as well.

correction, ott made the hit, and downey and schnabel were jawing at each other.

is it just me, or did zids get a LOT better defensively, all of a sudden?

He did. Zman is showing he can play both ways. Also an excellent defensive move by eaton in taking away the passing lane on the 2-on-1.

We still look pretty flat out there.

and again...UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! The officiating is the worst in any sport. The horrid NHL refs take another goal away from us should have been allowed!!!

I think Dan still makes some rookie mistakes but will be one of our top d-men in the years to come. One thing I will say about our Defense....take a look at Eaton's +/- for the season: +13!!!!!!

yet another loss partially due to poor officiating. Like so many other games we lose...we had tons of opportunities but just couldn't convert. We looked better in the 3rd, but we just couldn't pull it off.

While I agree lots of calls were missed, the way our PP looked we could have had 50 penalties and not scored another goal.

It sucks, and I don't use that word often.

Is Peterson responsible for the power play unit? He needs the fear of firing put in him or something. Pred success earlier in the year against teams just as good says teams have watched enough tape to figure out the scheme. CHANGE IT!!!!

I missed the disallowed goal b/c I was at a wedding rehearsal (groan). Was it a legit goal?

No disagreement there. Our PP is atrocious as of late.

I think it was and Pete and Terry seemed to think so also. What really ticked me off is they didn't even bother reviewing iit. The ref made the call and that was that.

Shish was responsible for one of Dallas's goals.

i was more upset when the goal was reviewed in montreal, because, while they could have taken a look at this goal last night, it would have been called off, anyway. it was pretty clearly batted in with a high stick. arkhipov's stick was about 5 inches above the crossbar. what gets ME is that i think the shot was going in anyway...and arkhipov didn't have to touch it...so he...in effect...DENIED us the goal. i was talking to spank last night...and i've started to get a sinking feeling. we haven't won, with the exception of the detroit game....in a LONG time. it hasn't been THAT bad because we've been taking a point out of a lot of games, but i'm starting to feel sort of sick. is hartnell's injury this year's legwand injury? are we collapsing? i hope not.

the power play is horachek's department, not petersen's, by the way.

Second time they have done that recently. Why will they not use the replay?
