Rangers have no need for a player such as Tkachuk.

I had him on my winning ESPN fantasy hockey team a decade ago when he was in his prime...so no, I'll pass.

As others have said Tkachuk is too old and will want too much money. He's also had a history of not showing up in big games--though he was one of Atlanta's better forwards in the playoffs.

No thanks

No way. He was terrible in the playoffs..

As a side note, I asked Renney who first proposed the idea to get Aver at the summer fan fest and Renney said Shanny. This guys knows what his teams needs to win, Tkachuk hasn't won a cup. Stay with Shanny..

Tkachuk doesnt fit into the mold of this team, and bringing him in ruins the process of other possible signings, the depth of this team and takes one of the jobs away from a youngster that will come at a much cheaper price.

The answer is a big no to this one.

Awards:
I actually don't hate the idea of getting Tkachuk. As a fall back on the Rangers not getting Gomez or Drury, he makes some sense. He can play center or wing. He will not comand a large salary. The Rangers could probably afford to get Nylander and Tkachuk and still have cap space to play with.
