I noticed that there are quite a few American players with Canadian pops.
Philippe Sauve (Buffalom, NY) - Bob Sauve (Quebec)
Eric Chouinard (Atlanta, Georgia) - Guy Chouinard (Quebec)
Zach Parise (Faribault, Minnesota) - Jean-Paul Parise (Ontario)
Brett Hull (Belleville, Ontario) - Bobby Hull (Point Anne, Ontario
Adam Deadmarsh (Trail, BC) - Butch Deadmarsh (Trail, BC)
Anyone got anything else?
I don't think Chouinard considers himself American. Didn't he compete for Canada in the WJC's? Hull and Deadmarsh are dual citizens. Players that would fit the criteria I think you're looking for have pretty much been mentioned: Sauve, Parise, Arnason. I think Tim Connolly has a Canadian mother.
But, this makes sense because there were so many Canadian players that went on to play for American teams. They then lived in the US.. and they had homes in the States.. got married and had kids in the US.. thus resulting in American children who then grew up to play hockey like their fathers. It's not an unreal thing.. it's totally understandable
