Any word on whether Perrin wants to go resign for cheap or is he gonna go back to Europe?

Yes, the post you quoted was from June. He should be able to make their team.

Btw, it's still unclear to me, why somebody on this board is high on Koshechkin? He's playing super crappy this year in Ak Bars.

He's been very good the previous few seasons and is listed by Russianprospects as one of the most NHL-ready prospects playing in Russia. He and his team are going through a bad stretch right now. Hopefully he bounces back soon. One bad month doesn't make or break a prospect.

Does anyone know where Luca Cunti is playing this year? I can't seem to find him anywhere, heard he had to stay in SUI for one more year.

So the NCAA did accept his application then? That's good to hear... I knew he really wanted to come over this year. Thanks for the confirmation.

Garl, it's only me or your own consideration of russian hockey players is declinating??

Anyhow, i consider him a promising goaltender because of his size, that permits him to cover the net effectively especially on corners. Because of his agility and his instinct. His problem is the consistency unfortunately

I watch them more than others, so I have more info and info as you know isn't always positive.

As for Koshechkin. I had some hopes previously, but now, he plays like crap, and I thik I know why. He got what he wanted: huge contract in a rich team+Noronen's injury so he's a starter without competition, and now he's happy with his life. He need competition to play decent. And he need some dictator-coach like Petr Vorobiev.

The web site also reports Evgeny Artyukhin was released by Omsk yesterday. "The young towering forward struggled to deliver this season for his new club, with just 3 goals and 2 assists in 19 games," russianprospects.com reports. "His high salary has reportedly prevented him from joining one of the clubs looking to employ his services."

What do you think this means? Is there still a chance he comes to North America soon?

from: http://www.russianprospects.com/ (feb/11/2008)

Quote:
KAZAN – 24 years old Vasily Koshechkin (Tampa Bay Lightning) has left Ak Bars. The team has decided to host a press conference to explain the situation. The young goalkeeper isn’t present in the line-up for a lot of time now. Earlier the official reason was a mysterious injury, but now the situation has become clear. Head coach Zinetula Bilyaletdinov has declared to championat.ru reporters that he is “very sorry about his (Koshechkin’s) situation. We relied a lot on him, but this is not his team. We had a talk and decided to mutually part away”. Shamil Khusnutdinov, team’s director, has added that “now the contract is stopped. At the end of the season we will talk with his agent to decide what to do”. The goalkeeper, who signed a 2-year deal this summer, has filled the papers to left the team, consequently finishing his season. It seems very hard to see a future for him in Kazan, where he won only five out of his fourteen games played, with a GAA of 2.85, numbers that make him the worse goalkeeper of the season in his team. During the same press conference, Ak Bars Kazan have declared that twenty years old Ryasensky, two goals and zero assists in twenty-four matches, has left the team because of disciplinary issues. He seems to have disrespected some parts of his contract, and thus he was released.
