Wouldn't suprise me if the caps have their eye on cherepanov. GMGM probably figures that gagner, voracek, maybe espisito, sutter, ellerby, etc. will go before someone takes a risk on cherepanov. Or maybe drop a little farther for backlund or eller?

No idea why LA would move down unless they think they can drop a couple of places and still get alzner or maybe cherepanov there too. Not sure what they are looking for though.

Move down to 11 or 12, pick a player they like, and pick up a roster player is probably a tempting deal.

Though lets hope they don't have to say how great a bum like Novotny is after the draft.

Is anyone else really annoyed by the "preview" show on VS? Talk about prospects or trades, not scouts.

Battleship! Glad to see you,dude.

This draft is wide open. I like what I see in Alzner (tho he's a good bit older than a lot of the other guys), Gagner is intriguing...Cherapanov is a mystery. None of these guys are sure-things. But I love how Alzner carries himself on the ice. I've seen only a few videos but from what I have seen he dominates at the defensive end. And he looks more comfortable with the puck than Scott Stevens. That's not saying much but I think he'll be able to chip in with some offense.

Anyhow...I haven't seen enough of these guys to have much of an opinion. But The Caps need to make this draft count.

anyone know where vogel's blog is going to be for sure? I can't find any indication of it on the caps website and there has been no update to dumpnchase.

I was just watching it fine, but versus just turned off the stupid blues thing for the draft.

dump and chase looks to have vogel's blogging if the connection holds up from the draft floor.
