Are these guys "on the clock" like the NFL, or do they have free reign to take as much time as they want?

How long does each team get? 10 minutes? 15?

No suprise there.

CHI, PHI, and PHO probably worked out that Turris would fall to PHO before they started. I bet PHI takes JvR next.

It usually takes a couple of minutes for teams to come up and make their pick. It depends on if they're doing any negotiations with other teams, etc.

Did anyone else notice a note of hesitation from Tallon with the pause before making their selection?

Flyers take JvR. Sigh, 3 fewer points and the Caps would be looking at Turris

I think that's a good pick for them. He fits the flyers style of offensively physical presence. He's 6'3" and 200 already. He'll put on another 15-20 pounds and be a force down low.

Go USA, btw. 1-2 for the first time ever.

Ok, so Turris is obviously next since Wayne loves him.

Anyone want to guess as to what the kings do? Maybe they stay in central Europe with Voracek after the success with Kopiar.

the ghost of Bobby Clarke made that pick - Turris is the more talented player (IMHO)

I like JVR a ton. I don't know if he'll be better than Turris, but he's certainly got that prototype size.

I guess Giroux was an abberation last year?

My guess is the Kings take Alzner, setting up GMGM for the Cherepanov/Voracek dilemma.

Can't check all the posts - but Rod Langway said on 980 this morning that the Caps signed AO to a 9-year contract???

I think GMGM is goign to take Cherpy, he said "home run swing" today

I think we would have heard about an AO extension if it happened this morning.

I know, but he did say that they signed him - not "going to" -
