I think that's the drill. Leaders. Character guys. No head cases need apply.

I have a lot of to say about Gainey that's critical, but he and Timmins and the crew look to be doing an outstanding job at the table. I'm stoked.

BTW, Subban appears to be a black guy.

He's looking at Gainey as if to say "Can you be my new daddy?"

What's the point? Let's say I would've picked Veilleux. If he doesn't pan out, some will say that I didn't what I was talking about. If he does, it will be hindsight or he plays good because of who he plays with.

If Esposito pans out, how many people will say it's because of Crosby, Staal or Malkin? Heck some people have also the nerve to say that Beauchemin is not even good and only plays that way 'cause of Nieds. Imagine how it will be for those guys.

Don't worry. I'm not the one who's hiding being a computer. If I suck at a prediction, I'll be the first to comeback and say it. But while I really love Subban's attitude, he and Weber would not have been my picks while guys like Veillleux, Tyrell, or Galiardi were available. And for Weber, Zabotel, Palmieri or Andersson would have been my picks. As far as the other Americans, I don't know them at all and there's no reports on them that much so we'll see. Like the Fortier and the Torp picks. McDonagh will be great and hope the best for Pacioretty who should be a good pick.

Limited offensive talent after the top 5 or so in a weak draft, might as well take a D and hope he improves his game.

I honestly believe this is the case.

I think he'll be a great scrapper too.

Plus it will be good to inject some more colour in the lineup after the Bathwaite incident.

Gee, you noticed that, huh? I'm wondering tho; is Subban the first black person ever to be drafted by the Habs?

Agreed. He's apparently quick to come to the aid of his comrades, and seems pretty "able", but its his offensive potential and reputed speed that intrigues me most. Timmins was quoted in an interview as saying he'll be the fastest player in camp. Even if it's an embellishment, it 's quite a statement.

I can't imagine this guy being one of our fastest players...he looks so stocky!
