Radulov and Yakubov sent to Norfolk

By Frank Porcelli

The Blackhawks got a little older on Wednesday, as forwards Igor Radulov and Mikhail Yakubov were sent to the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League. What does this move mean? It means that both Alex Zhamnov and Igor Korolev will play in the game tonight against the Canucks.

This stinks. I thought they should have tried putting Radulov with Zhamnov to see if his game would pick up. The youngsters need some decent vets to help them out, one finally comes back from injury and the youngsters go instead of a plug like Korolev.

Yakubov was one of the best players on the ice during the Pens/Hawks game. This move doesn't make sense to me as an outsider.

I forgot to say after the game, but Pens announcer Mike Lange kept praising Yakubov all game, and I share his sentiments. 'He's going to be quite a player.'
