I've since deleted all of the votes I received, so can't tell who voted for who, but I do know that the voting was 9-8 in favor of Nanaimo.

It was the tied - 2nd closest vote of all the series.

The closest vote of any series was the Montreal - Nanaimo Conference Finals.

The voting was dead even

Next tiebreaker is add up the number of games (determined by each voters how long the series went). That was also dead even.

Final tiebreaker is to add up the votes for the 3-star selections, and whichever team has the player receiving the most points (using a 5-3-1 system), he wins. Earl Seibert receiving the most votes was the difference.
