A little family bragging

My cuz is an agent, and had two first round, one second round, and two fourth round clients drafted.

You might have heard of his two first rounds: JVR & Max Pacioretty (who apparently was REALLY bummed not to have been drafted by the Rags).

Way to go, cuz!

If you don't mind my asking, what is his name? Congrats to him either way!

I looked at Pacioretty's NHL profile: boy this kid is a bigtime Rangers fan!

Dude, the Hootenany Beer League (D Division) wouldn't draft me. Always a decent skater, love the game, but zero hockey sense and and a complete lack of athletic ability kept me from playing beyond squirts or whatever the 10 year olds are called.

I think JVR was bummed more as he too was a BIG Ranger fan, then had the mis fortune of being drafted by the Flyers.

I believe he said he now has to find a new family that will root for him as a Flyer.....

I think Pacioretty was bummed b/c the Rags had indicated to him that he'd be their pick if Cherp was off the board. JVR really had little or no chance to go to the Rags.

I did ask for some pre-draft insight, but apparently he was a bit busy.

Since when was Dale Purinton a decent skater? I think I saw him at Mennan Arena the other day for the free skate and ten year old girls were blowing by him and laughing.

Also, I understand Pacioretty is a Rags fan, but god forbid we drafted him in the first round did anybody read further into his profile?? He styles his game after Jed Ortmeyer. So the best case scenario to come from drafting this kid is that in four years he *might* progress to the level of playing like Jed?? I have much love for the guy and all, he worked really hard as a Ranger, but there is a reason that he will not be one after the season. Thank god somebody took him, before we could make that mistake in the second round (Instead we took the 10th ranked goaltender in the draft first, but whatever).

Max is going to Michigan for at least two years. And I think he's statement was more about being a two-way/complete player. Everyone thinks his updise is much higher than Orts'.
