The Best Player at....

I've seen hundreds of Who is the best player, most exciting player etc. surverys/polls, so I thought I'd do one too just pick some aspects of the game that players aren't usually compared at.

1. Best Crease Crasher (Drives hard to the net and is hard to stop)
2. Best Shot Tipper
3. Players that takes the most abuse in front of the net.
4. Best Puckhandling Goalie
5. Best Skating Goalie
6. Best Forechecker
7. Best Faceoff man
8. Luckiest player (always seems to get the bounce, or the perfectly directed rebound)
9. Most Dependable Player
10. Best Player at Taking a Hit

I'm going to concentrate on the Wings because it's where I feel comfortable.

Best crease crasher - either Holmstrom or McCarty (when he's healthy)

Best shot tipper - Brett Hull

Players that take the most abuse in front of the net - Tomas Holmstrom

Best puckhandling goalie - depends on who's playing...some nights it's Cujo, some nights it's Manny, some nights it's Dom. Some nights they are all out of it.

Best skating goalie - hmmmm....that's a tough one.

Best forechecker - Kirk Maltby and Kris Draper are good at it

Best faceoff man - Steve Yzerman, but Pavel is getting better

Luckiest player - Brett Hull will tell you he is.

Most dependable - Kris Draper, Mathieu Schneider

Best player at taking a hit - hmmm...probably Holmstrom, considering the abuse he takes in front of the opposing goalies

Marty Turco is just as good as Brodeur in handling the puck. Those two are heads and shoulders above the other goalies in the league in that category

I meant for his career, he is a lock for the HOF and he hardly gets mentioned in these threads.

Luckiest player - You know, that French-Canadian guy that's the highest scoring Left Winger in the history of the game that can't skate and has an average shot.

Turco is pretty good too IMO. Near Marty's level. He is just less experienced.
