WJC Group A: Dec 30 GDT - USA vs. Sweden

USA is probably the best team in the group seeing as Russia has been struggling somewhat.
According to the Swedish management the Swedish U20-team played their best game in 2-3 years against the Russians the other day.

Prediction: 4-2 USA

Sweden's playing with a lot of heart... or so Steen says... I think they can give the US a run for their money.

I'm going to predict an upset here, not really sure why though.

3-2 Sweden.

USA will probably win, but it shouldn't be a blowout. 2-1 to the USA if our goalie is on his toes.

4 -2 USA because I'm forecasting Sweden to finish third in their divison, and to face Finns (who should come second in their group) in QF, giving us one more of those Finland - Sweden games in Helsinki. In that game Finns will be up 23-0 after first period until Swedes revert to ingenious tactic of shooting from their own blueline and rattle Toivonen for 24-23 win.

I think the U.S. is going to win comfortably by a score of 5-1.

wow .. seems Magnus Åkerlund (born 1986) is starting this game, a bit of a surprise since starter Lundström has played well so far.

Need to see a video to see if it is the right call, but we can be happy about the 2-0 lead
