I think the Rags are waiting for their checkbooks to cool off a bit before the next announcement.

Nothing yet, though I'd be quite surprised if they didn't bring him back though.

he'll be signed. he's too cheap not to. whether they turn around and trade him is a different matter.

I think Prucha is a vital part of the team now. He puts up decent numbers and is rather clutch for a very low price. With definite added cap in Drury, Gomez and Henke (maybe Shanny too, but it seems he may take a pay hit for the club...not sure), Prucha's production at his low price is too good to pass up, and I'm not sure he is too interested in going anywhere.

When it comes to RFAs, it only makes sense to address each player in terms of the magnitude of cap hit he's going to impart.

So you start with Hank. Once you have him signed (or at least know within $50-100K) how much he'll cost, then you move on to Shanny. Then Avery. Then Prucha and finally Hossa.

At least that's what makes sense to me.

According to Blueshirt Bulliten, Petr has an offer and his agent is on the case.

Prucha benefits from being as in love with the Rangers as the others as well as willing to play for peanuts at this point in his career. "It only started," he told Hokej.cz yesterday about his contract negotiations. "I got the qualifying offer so I am not an unrestricted free agent. I didn’t want that to happen. Sure I’d like some more [money], but I let my agent do the work and I’m not really thinking about it."

Isn't it amazing how many players love AND want to play with the Rangers now.

It all started with the rebuilding with youth. Where are all those media types and fans that said you can't rebuild in NYC? We have a nice core of young players (and many more coming) and a nice element of older players to lead them

This is much like the 90's Yankees built their championship team.

I can kind of see Prucha becoming a Bernie....

Not exactly menacing looking (Bernie had the coke-bottle glasses, Prucha is tiny) but coming through when needed. If Pruc will have as much of a contribution and long a career as Bernie..well, maybe not..but I can see parallels.

And good call on Jeter=Cally and Mo=Henke.

prucha will sign, he said he doesn't even care about the money. but nothing will happen with him or the others until lundqvist gets signed first. we are gonna be very tight on cap space after signing everyone so you got sign lundqvist first to protect yourself.
