Michael Nylander

I haven't heard much in where he could end up. Any chance we could be making a move for him to land with the Hawks?

I was thinking about this one too. He would be a great fit on that first line.

I love Nylander, I wish the Rangers could keep him, but It won't happen now. Chicago would be a good fit for him. I hope you guys sign him.

With Nylander all but guaranteed not to go back to NYR next year, I hope Tallon is all over this. He will be a perfect fit up front with Havlat and we have the cap room to put him there.

If what they have posted about the Oilers paying him 18 mil over 3 years I doubt the Hawks would have gone anywhere near those numbers. Especially for an older guy like that a longer term contract doesn't make sense.

I think they might be going after Comrie as well as Handzus -but Comrie as a backup in case Handzus gets lucky with a big offer ( Comrie is I think is only 26 so that sort of works -he's a decent scorer -although not out of this world awesome) -I think the Perrault thing was more of a replacement for Hamilton in terms of role.

I am sure they will take a run at one or 2 defensemen as well. I wouldn't mind Ladislav Nagy if he is around for the right price as well. The guy is relatively young although he has been known to be inconsistent.

Boy I look dumb -- well no need for Comrie now- and Nagy probably wanted too much -and really did not fit in anyway ---

Preissing is gone too - but I think Tallon wants a couple of veteran defensemen.

Prault as it turns out got a nice fat raise - he apparently had been getting 700,000 per year - not many 36 year olds double their pay.
