.

God I hope this isn't happening.

I'm a huge Boogaard fan and would hate to have to play him 8 times a year.

I'd be inclined to overpay to get him so you don't

If the Flyers get Boogaard, I'm buying his jersey 3 seconds after the official announcement is made. In short, I'd be beyond ecstatic to see this guy in the orange and black.

We'd be giving up the pick to get rid of Gauthier.

the division is certainly getting rather interesting... i'll be fascinated to see what happens with the Devils.

i still have no idea what to expect from our club -- simply remain too young. however, you guys and the Pens will definitely be strong clubs... the Isles are looking like the only doormats (trading for Smyth and not moving Blake was brilliant)... and Devils are heading towards testing the theory that the team was Brodeur.

What he said.

I've seen Boogaard play (well, fight actually) on YouTube videos in the past couple months and I always hoped he would become a Flyer somehow.

Plus his name is awesome.

Yeah but who would you rather have Cote or boogard? Boogard will give him a fight and can win. Cote can’t. Boogard is on par or better than any other heavy Cote would be way way down on the list. It is deflating seeing your “tough guy” get hammered. Boogard will lose some sure but wont get hammered and will destroy people more often than not. He is also young enough that he will be around for say 8 years or so.

Guys, you know the real reason we all want him is so we can yell out Booooooooooog when he steps onto the ice.

Boogaard destroying Fedoruk.

I want this guy now. He would be an amazing upgrade over whoever is our "enforcer" now.

Yeah, I said this yeasterday too. To get rid of either Gauthier or Hatcher we will be giving up like a 3rd. Gauthier and a 3rd for Boogard, I'd do it. We cut Gauthiers 2.1 mil salary, open up a spot for Picard (whom I believe NEEDS to be on this team) at about .5 mil, add in a top notch enforcer at about 1 mil, decrease the need to promote a kid from the phantoms at about .5 mil, results in about 1 mil in extrat cap space for us. I sure hope this is a real deal they are working on and not just someone's stupid idea of a "supposed" rumor.

Gauthier for Boogard is the perfect trade, the Flyers get a legit enforcer, free up salary for injury call ups and allow a young defenceman a spot to develop.

i would absolutely loooooove this....cote blows, boogey would be a great addition to eagers line...the thought of this potential line gives me chills, it would be amazing. not only is this guy a good fighter, but he really scares people out there and from what i've seen, he is extremely disciplined and only goes off when needed. seems to have a very positive influence on the crowd and the team...he'd fit in great for philly.

DEW IT!!!!

I believe Boogaard's brother is signed with Pittsburgh (or maybe an AHL deal with WBS, not sure). Could set up an interesting match if Aaron is ever called up and Derek does go to Philly.

Crosby would score a point per minute if he was on the ice at the same time as those three.

But luckily he would be injured before 3 minutes had elapsed and those 3 points would be about half of what he usually scores against us anyway, go for it!

It's not gonna happen...he's quite popular in Minny, plus he's pretty much the only source of pure toughness for the Wild... they need him.
