Smart signing for Atlanta.

He's obviously a good fit there.

Bah... wanted Leafs to sign him. Oh well, fair contract for both sides.

Great signing by Atlanta.

I was hoping the Sharks could sign him.

$11 million over 3 years is a pretty good deal for Atlanta.

Great deal, and as Waddell said, we weren't the highest bidder, Kozlov is all class for doing this deal, while doing what he could to find the best contract. This says a lot about how much he likes it here.

It's now guaranteed that Atlanta will be able to resign Hossa this summer.

I'd be shocked if this isn't our lineup opening night:

Kozlov White Hossa
Kovalchuk Yashin Sterling

I was hoping he would resign there, as a Kozlov and red wings fan I would much rather cheer for the Thrashers than Dallas or Toronto. Still, good signing for the Thrashers, he fits in well there and became one of the team leaders. He seems to like it there and should be the team he retires with.

Fantastic deal for the Thrashers. I would have expected Kozlov to get much more.

If you didn't know, Marian Hossa and Alexei Yashin have some history and great Chemistry.

Actually, Hossa and Yashin never played on the same line while in Ottawa, Bonk was Hossa's centre.
Were you referring to something else?

Great to see another very reasonable signing in the league after pretty much everyone was predicting the end of the NHL after the signings on Sunday.

looks like he took a 1m discount to sign with ATL. $333,333 cap space isnt that much of a saving per year, unless other players do the same...

No he wasn't. Radek Bonk played with McEacheren and Havlat.

Yashin was paired with Alfredsson and Hossa.

so much hating here. He's a great player, been great for like 12 years or so, he's still underpaid, based on some of the ridiculously stupid contracts given out left and right (Drury for max money - insane)

While on the subject of Radek Bonk...what the hell happened to this guy?
He was an offensive juggernaut before, even making the All-Star games. I miss the old Bonk.
