Doug Weight's Dirty

That elbow on Gagne was just plain dirty. I can't stand him.

Good for the Flyers... they just scored while dirty Douggy was in the sin bin.

4-1 Flyers after the second period.

dang you beat me to it....that guy just solidified himself among the dirtiest players in the league, along with teammate tkatchuk, marc savard, and a couple others. I hope that street fighter-goon-looking guy on st. louis takes on brashear tonight!

+ he's a whinner

Should be an interesting 3rd period.

There was also a dirty hit on Weinrich earlier in the game by Danton. Puck wasn't even close to the play and Danton skated against the flow to come back and take out Weinrich at the knees.

He is dirty but I wouldnt consider him a coward. Maybe I am basing this to much on when he went after Bryan Marchment and beat the living piss out of him after Marchment tried to take out his knee.

Thats hardly a good standard to base this on.

Bryan Marchment is a *****. almost every guy in the NHL would love a piece of him. And i would take ANYBODY over marchment any day of the week, and twice on saturdays.. Hes not a tough guy, just good at throwing cheapshots.

Gagne needs to keep his head up.

So does everyone else. What this has to do with the hit tonight though I don't know. Gagne's head was up. He moved to avoid the big hit. Weight stuck out his elbow and nailed him. It wasn't a subtle elbow, or a tucked elbow. He whiped it out there.

And his team lost 7 - 2, they lost most of the fights, and Weight hid on the bench most of the 3rd once their 4 minute PP to start the period was over.

I hope he gets a suspension for that hit. Intent to injure was pretty clear.

BTW, did you see all the Blues players whinning at Hitchcock after the horn blew, because the Flyers put Brashear on the ice after all their gooning and cheapshotting.

Oh, and then there were the St Louis fans booing the refs in outrage when his arm went up. Talk about injustice.

I was going to post this but thought maybe I was overreacting to the elbow. Glad I'm not the only one.

That elbow was flat-out vicous, and a completely intentional blow to the head-not as hard but just as intentional as the Bure elbow on Churla back in '94 playoffs.

I hope Weight is suspended.

I never thought of him as dirty before this year. But first an intentional cross-check to the face of Sedin, now a blatant elbow to the head of Gagne. Hope the league comes down hard. He obviously did not learn a thing his first suspension.

its different when they do it against a team like Detroit, who can counter it with Dmitri Bykov and Maxim Kuznetsov...

no no, its terrible when the team can actually counter with a tough guy.

That probably has a lot to do with the fact that the ref 15 feet away that saw exactly what happened didn't call it while the ref that made the call was way on the other side of the OTHER blue line.

The kid tried to ge Brash to go all night and the fight with Fedoruk wasnt much. Point being Brash turned that kid down all night and tried to go with noted tough guy Jamal Mayers at the Buzzer. Brashear is a worthless punk.

Bryan Marchment is a better than average Scrapper. Ill agree with the cheap shot punk part but you should watch some of his scraps before you call him a *****.

I can only speak for One St.Louis fan, the only reason I was pissed at Brash after the game was going after noted tough guy Jamal Mayers after ducking Yablonski all night.

If Doug Weight was on their team the language would quickly change from Coward to Gritty player.

I understand that. it just Pisses me off. Winning in a blowout and he still ran all night. Heavyweight Champ of the league. Right.

Brashear will make some BS claim that "he didn't need to fight" because they were winning, which of course ignores the fact that he tried to go with a guy he knew he could beat as the game ended.

I'd be surprised if Weight wasn't suspended.

Yeah b/c Brashear couldn't beat Yablonski. Yabo really established himself by destroying Fedoruk.

People need to quit circumnavigating the obscenity filter. The boss REALLY doesn't like it. If your post is edited in this thread, it's because you did it or quoted someone who did it.

Thanks
