I think no news are good news at this point actually. Cause if Scotty and Teemu were sure they were going to retire they would have done it before July the 1st. No news means there's still a possibility they'll play at least another year.

As for Penner, I believe it was mentioned in some other thread he wanted a $2,3 million deal or more. That's all I've heard.

He says in English yet uses the European comma for 2.3 million. Oh, the irony.

another off topic answer...
Don't remember I had one in english.. Most of my dreams is actually about me sitting at the computer and looking after NHL transactions, I have those dreams because that is what I'm doing in real life all the time...

This is heading towards being one of the worst threads ever at the Ducks section of the HFboards. And I'm the one who's written most posts in it, wonderful

there is pretty much nothing out there that we don't already know, we are just going to have to wait it out.

If you look carefully at a map, you might be surprised to find England actually IS in Europe. Oh, the irony.

According to our well informed poster (wildcat) Burke is trying to lock him up to a long term deal rather then the previous short term deal. Which, if it happens works out even better for the Ducks.

As for Scotty and Teemu, unfortunately no word yet. I get home every night after work and immediately get on the computer to see if they have announced anything, and every day I get on for no reason.

2,3 is the Euro designation. If that's the case add another 36% to 2.3 million, or 3.128 million dollars.

Perhaps we could counter with payment in Canadian dollars.

In the European Union they designate their currency with a comma instead of a period. Thus $2.3 is a dollar designation and E2,3 is a Euro designation. Since the conversion of dollars into Euros you need 1.36 dollars to equal 1 Euro.

If you want to purchase someting in the U.S and it costa $1.00, the same item in the European Union countries will cost you $1.36 U.S. dollars and $2.00 in the United Kingdom.

It gets expensive traveling in Europe. Stay in the U.S. or go to Canada where the U.S. dollar is worth A LITTLE more than the Canadian dollar.

The way things are going in the U.S. in a few years the Canadian dollar will be worth more than the U.S. dollar and the Euro will also be worth more than it is today.

Well I'm of the impression that if you told that to an Englishman he'd curse you. Although I could just be making things up.

As far as I know in Europe they use commas instead of periods to represent "point" for all numbers, not just money (eg pi = 3,14 not 3.14). And the UK uses a period like we do.
