The shutout against Austria was a no-brainer, but Sweden is a major accomplishment. When you combine that with only allowing 2 goals against Russia, that tie and today's win got them through to the second round. 7 goals in 4 games is good at any level, but when you have a weaker team in front of you and you are up against world class teams, very impressive!!

According to IIHF.com he faced 28 shots, which is a good amount. Nice shutout. This boosts his save percentage to 93.75% if I calculate correctly. His GAA is now 1.75 too, I believe.

It would be fun if the Slovaks faced Canada.

I think I read somewhere that either Savard or Timmins said they picked Halak at 271st, cause he was ranked so much higher by CSB and they were surprised he was still available. After taking Lindberg in the 6th round, I'm glad they took a chance on Halak who seems to be on an amazing roll since the U-18's in April. Keep going Halak!

At this point, it seems weird that Lindberg was drafted before Halak... Lindberg's coming off a really bad season and he hasn't really improved that much, if I've got my information correct.

Then again, maybe there's something about Halak that made him go so low in the draft... something we don't know about.

Doesn't care at least he win some game.
If It's the same something that makes Hudler and Parise fell down well that's ok with me.
