if you're 5'11" and skinny, a 48 will be big on you, even with a sweater underneath. i'm about the same height and my 48 is big on me. not ridiculously big, but big. i usually wear a couple layers underneath.

In any event, my question still stands. Does anyone know a place where I can get an A stiched (or pressed) on? I'm thinking about stopping by Cosby's tomorrow to make an inquiry.

During the season my local modells had Shanny replicas with the A. weird.

my local Modells is Douglaston. They actually only had 2 Rangers jerseys. But Models in New Hyde Park had a lot of Rangers jerseys during the season, including a blue Shanny replica with an A. Unfortunately about 1 month ago the jerseys all went on sale without me knowing about this, and evidently 1 guy snapped them all up, probably to sell them on ebay. I was very pissed off.

I was just looking at Sportsk and I think I'm going to order one. My question... whose getting the add on Stanley Cup patch? Is that the 75th anniversary patch? I'm pretty sure the NYR had there 75th a few years ago...

who are you referring to? sportks answered my email in less than a day. unfortunately i was not happy to hear that they will most likely not be receiving any more 46 or 48 blue authentics.

Went to a modell's in the Livingston Mall, New Jeresy, and they didn't have anything hockey what so ever. I have been waiting to buy a jersey for a while, but have been hesitant to pick a player. The last two jersey's were Bure, and Lafontaine, who didn't even finish a season with the team. I did get a lot of years with my Richter jersey though. I think once we sign Lundqvist up long term, I will get the blue jersey of his.

I always wondered about goalie jerseys. Do people buy the special goalie jerseys, or just get a regular jersey and put the goalies name on it?

most people buy the regular sweater with Richter or Giacomin or Davidson or Villemure or Worsely or Lundqvist on the back. Only people who actually play goalie in ice or roller get the oversized sweater.

Yeah my Richter was just a regular sized jersey. I am at most a medium build, so I really dont want a big, or baggy jersey.

holy crap the new edge jerseys are freakin over priced

"Once the jerseys go on sale, fans who have tight wallets will want to hold back. The estimated cost of a new style replica is going to be about $200 while rumors have an authentic jersey with lettering going for $400-$425."

interesting so that guy e-mailed me back from sportsk and this is what he said...

Steve,

A 52 is almost a XXL, maybe just a touch smaller.

A 56 would be a touch bigger than a xxl.

thanks,
howard

how is that possible, i thought the 52 was suppose to be huge

My authentic from SportsK just rocked up. It's a 52 so if you like i can measure it up for you.

To those asking about the quality of the lettering/numbers, it's exactly the same as the jerseys i've got from nhl.com

I just bought an authentic White Reebok 52 and it fits just like an XL, maybe a slightly bigger, but not much. I wear an XL for all my jerseys and the 52 fits just right.
