You know, something just occured to me...

He's got the NHL '93 unstoppable move! You know, the one where you circle behind the net out in front and shoot against the grain? Cooooool.

I loooooove this kid. I don't think the Rangers have had a forward prospect this skilled since Kovalev. And unlike Kovalev, this kid appears to have no problem putting the puck on net. Don't know if he's as big and strong as Alex and I doubt he can stickhandle as well (but then who can, except for maybe Afingenov or Connolly?), but... he's fast, has got GREAT moves, can shoot and I love the way he carves out space for himself in traffic.

I may have to buy a new jersey when he comes up...

We're set if he can pull off the new unstoppable move in hockey video games: power down the center of the ice, cut outside to a wing, and then fly horizontally across the crease. Shovel in a backhander far post and your golden.

Speaking of Cherepanov, I wonder if the fools from Uniondale didn't make that trade for Smyth if they would have took Cherepanov. Just a thought.

He's got a quick wrist shot that's very accurate. Will be interesting to see how that translates to the NHL

One thing I noticed about Cherepanov that few players do is anticipate a faceoff loss. He races behind the opponent takes the puck and charges the net. Awesome, something I'll be looking for late in a game while wearing a Ranger uniform.

Our youth looks strong. Now if we can get Beach in '08 I'll be very happy.

I love this video, with the music it makes it seem like the old days....a secret weapon behind the iron curtain that few people know about....

He seems to mostly favor the forehand. Few of his moves are designed to set up a backhand shot, although on one sequence he comes in alone on a goalie and roofs a bankhand effortlessly. He does have a certain calmness with the puck on his stick. Me likes!

Hehe. Helped out nicely by the picks being set by his teammates

I like how calm he is and how aware he seems of where his linemates are and who's open for a pass...with the ability to put it tape-to-tape, or squeeze it in over the shoulder.
It's amazing what you can get with a 17th pick these days.

The one thing I must say is every goal is very natual looking,as if he doesnt have to work so hard. basically what i mean the kid looks like a natiural. hopefully in the NHL he can keep it going.
