Jim

Roger Federer is great and his rivalry with Rafa could help the sport, but think about this. Roger has won a bunch of Wimbledons in a row, and Nadal has won a bunch of French Opens in a row. In the early 70s Bjorn Borg won both of those tournaments in the same year for a bunch of years in a row. To do that on clay and grass is impressive.

Thank you SAM!

Being a long suffering Reds fan has prepared me for being a Blue Jackets fan.
But at least they give out cool stuff at Great American.
Anybody else get the free Bronson Arroyo Hat with the golden locks?
Keep mine in the car to distract truckers.

For me, college football and hockey are above all else. No teams can match the passion I have for Buckeyes and Jackets.

NFL: Cowboys, Bengals
NBA: Bulls(it's just not the same without Jordan), Cavs are growing on me

That's it, really. I just can't watch baseball anymore.

Oh and, soccer is growing on me, too. I guess I'd say I'm a Crew fan.

College: Buckeyes and Bobcats
MLB: Florida Marlins (perhaps this is why I have no issues with the CBJ's budget?)
NBA: Toronto Raptors
NFL: Cincinnati Bengals (season ticket holder)

I'm also a Destroyers season ticket holder.

Royals fans are complete masochists.

I used to go to a lot of Clippers games when I was in college.
I'll be a Clippers fan again when they get to the new park. Is that wrong?

NFL: Browns
NBA: Cavs
MLB: Tribe
WNBA: Shock (Love me some Katy!)
College: OSU and Miami U.

And, of course, the Mighty, Mighty Big Red of Steubenville!

Even though it is my most recent addiction, the CBJ have become my greatest passion. I spend much more time on the hockey boards than I ever did on the boards of all the other teams I follow, combined! Must be the quality of the company here, no?

Teams I support and championships in my lifetime:

College - Michigan (I watch but I am not passionate about college athletics)
NFL - Lions (One of these years they may have a winning team)
MLB - Tigers (World Series champs 68, 84)
NBA - Pistons (NBA champs 88-89, 89-90, 03-04)
WNBA - Shock (WNBA champs (03, 06)

Do you see a pattern here.

NHL - CBJ

I was also a Red Wing fan until I moved to Columbus in the summer of 98. SC champs in 96-97 and 97-98. I was also happy they won in 01-02. I now have no love for them. I am not a turncoat or a even a closet Red Wing fan either.

Yep, I was a big Wings fan pretty much through the 80's and into the 90's, but kind of lost interest after they won the Cup for Vladdy. Too many idiots on the that expected to win year after year. And while the team was good, I was tired of the constant Goalie bashing that is the #1 past time of Detroit fans.

Oddly enough I lost interest in the Indians in the early 90's when they started doing well, and you couldn't pay $5 and sit 4 rows behind home plate and yell at Jose Canseco. I went back and worked for them in 97, the year of their World Series appearance, and it was enjoyable, but sometimes when you're behind the scenes, making the magic, the magic doesn't work on you

I saw a lot of Cavs games in the late 80's early 90's, but free courtside seats will make you like any game. I did get absolutely pissed though after working a playoff game when they got knocked out. Here I am putting my camera away semi-depressed, and out come the players out of the dressing room laughing, joking, glad to be "Done with the f-ing season" before they got into their Hummers and drove off.

I guess that's why I like "less popular" sports, as the athletes actually play to win the game.

I will be attending the Men's tennis in Cincinnati in August. Probably one of the most underrated events in Cincinnati. My company has nice tickets 4 rows up from the court and right where the players enter and usually get to go 2-3 times during the week. I've seen all the big names in the last few years and attended the final last year with Roddick winning. The best was when Mandy Moore was sitting across the aisle from me while she was dating Roddick.
