not a chance this comes true. what happened to our nice young defense? we should probably stop acquiring vets, we've got plenty.

Gagne - Briere - Knuble
Upshall - Carter - Hartnell
Afanasenkov - Richards - Kapanen
Eager - Potulny - Downie
Ruzicka

Smith - Timonen
Öhlund - Kukkonen
Jones - Coburn
Parent - Gauthier

And if Rathje will be back, he better be in the shape of his life...

Maybe we can add a fourth line center, Parent is a small gamble...one of Ruzicka, Parent or Downie will grab a spot anyway...main thing is to get rid of Hatcher...Öhlund for Hatcher is a dream come true...also, there is lots of unsigned players in the league...maybe there will be room to sign Selänne!

The big question mark is if the departure of Lupul is worth this...maybe not...a few night of sleep will figure it out...Öhlund is UFA in 09.

Why can't you guys sign a right winger for the Sedins??

Gauthier, Lupul, Picard, for Schneider & Öhlund?

Van get a RW for Sedins who can finish.
Picard a puck moving d-man who is improving.
and one of the best open ice hitters.

Flyers get a puck moving d-man and a leader and a goalie prospect that we really need.

thats true. i like ohlund a lot and think he's a great defenseman, but i dont like how much it might cost the flyers, since the canucks value him pretty highly. though if we can dump hatcher or gauthier in a deal for him, i'd be completely ok with that.
