Nashville signs Andreas Thuresson

No link in English yet, but Nashville has signed Andreas Thuresson (picked in 5th round, 144th overall in this year's draft) to an entry-level contract.

Personally I was hoping he would stay another year in Sweden.

What he said about the signing:

"I got a good impression of Nashville's organization when I was over there on the camp a couple of weeks ago. Nashville also presented a plan for my developement which felt interesting. I therefore, after consultation with my family, decided to go over to the USA already this fall. I also think my playing style will fit well in the small rinks over there."

Great news, I liked what I read about him. I think he'll be a good depth guy to start.

Sounds like an interesting prospect from what I've read.

Built good for a young guy. put up some goals in SEL last season. Should be interesting to watch him transition to the jr's here.

"Nashville also presented a plan for my developement which felt interesting."

Thinking that the organization liked the way Radulov developed and are using him as an example to get their euro kids to come over to N.A. sooner?

Different type of player, and he's not a young kid. He's coming to play in the minors and likely come up through Milwaukee, rather than juniors\almost straight to the NHL the way Radulov did.

I think Radulov was 17 when he was drafted, but Thuresson is eligible for the AHL, since he's not coming through the CHL.

I think this might be one guy who ends up on the third/fourth line for several years here in Nashville.
