how many points will Gomez score as a Ranger?

There has been speculation that Gomez will either

A) Explode into an offensive dynamo, becoming a 100 point center as a member of the NYR

or

B) Not produce any more than he did on NJ

Which do you think will happen?

I'd be surprised if Gomer isn't a point-a-game player with the stRangers.

I'll say 16G - 70A - 86pts. If he stays healthy.

if he could maintain a very high level of intensity throughout the season, he could certainly hit 100 pts; but my gut feel on this is that he'll end up in the 75-85 pts range.

25 goals 55 assists 80 points. last year he only had 13 goals but i think he can rebound especially with a passer like jagr on his wing.

I think he'll easily get more points than last year, but won't hit his career year of two years ago.

I think this is about right. I don't think his playmaking abilites will double or anything crazy.

I wouldn't expect 25 goals. Aside from his 33 goals season and his rookie year (19), he's never really come close to 20. I think all his years of 13, 13, 14, 13, 10, 14 is a more accurate view of Gomer as a goal scorer.

I think this is most likely.

i predict he comes out on fire - scoring about 2 pts a game for the first half, but then falls flat and barely gets a point every other game... once he feels like just a $4000 Rolex that keeps the same time as the $40 Fossil and looks 99% the same yet somehow has this stigma attached....

"why does everyone suddenly hate me?"

I say Gomez celebrates most of the summer having Pina Coladas and Nachos at his camp relaxing. He will have a very underwhelming first season(70-75 points) but then pick it up next season and get 80-90ish.

I am guessing he will have much better stats last 40 games(~50 points) over first 40(20-25 points).

2 G and 14 Assists.

Then November 14 he gets sandwiched by Vishnevski and White and is out for the rest of the season.

As a Rangers fan, I feel confident that Gomez will put up career numbers similar to what Nylander did with Jagr. I think they can compliment each other very well. On the other hand, it wouldn't surprise me if Gomez is a bust.... kind of like the last guy that came over from the other side of the Hudson. I think his name was Bobby something...or Robby...it was definitely an -obby

Not many the first 6 years. But for the last year, when his contract is almost up and he's looking for another big pay day, I expect him to play up to his potential.

I think his numbers will be up but i dont think he will have that much more than last season, i'd say 12 goals, 57assist 69 points,

Jagr is a great passer + Gomez is a great passer means they will pass back and fourth to each other meaning niether one will shoot......

I expect Jagr to also have a down year..........Nylander last season drove the net to clear space for Jags, but Gomer doesnt drive the net he plays the perimeter, as does Jags.

Jag i think will have 23 g 43 a 66 pt.

LOL... are we talking about the same Nylander??? How many Rangers games did you watch? Nylander's the closest thing to a figure skater in the NHL.

I'm gonna say he's gonna score 25 goals in 50 games and then probably take a nose dive and chip his crooked ass teeth on the way down and everyone in NY is going to start to hate him, especially the papers because he won't be worth a 10 million dollar season.

Drury on the other hand...I don't think he'll come close to matching his numbers from this season, but he'll be great.

14 goals, 58 assists... 72 points. Will be what he does next season and be right around his average over the course of the contract.
