Peter Forsberg is one of the greatest players in NHL history and it's an honor that we got to see him in the Orange and Black. Go be a Sixers fan.

Why would Flyers fans burn a Forsberg jersey?

People need to learn to deal with the fact that Forsberg isn't a Flyer anymore. Move on. If we re-sign him for some God forsaken reason, we'll take it from there.

The jersey overall is a good value though. Thanks for the post. I'm up in North Jersey at Rutgers, so I don't hate Rangers fans for being Rangers fans . But I do hate the Rangers team

Off topic.
I'll take him on my team. even if he plays on one leg. After all star break, if he is at least 60-80% healthy he will help our team no doubt. I'd sign him for 1M.

I am not even going to get into conversation about playoffs. He is twice the man Carter is right now. Playing behind Danny would give Flyers solid 1-2 combination.

If Peter wants to play for the Flyers, Homer must sign him, no question about it.

Ottawa wants him!

Put in a good word for us okay guys? We will owe you one...

We can put in a good word with Yashin for you, if interersted.

Imagine how thrilled I was to see that even the autographed jerseys were slashed in price, after I purchased my Forsberg one.

Well I am ready to move on without him, dont get me wrong I appreciate everything, and I mean everything he did for this organization. But i am not sure if I want to deal with the disctraction of "when will he come back from his latest injury" or something to that affect. To sign him to a 1 year deal and find out he wont be ready until December, is not only unfair to the guys on the team right now but it would screw up the balance and chemistry this team will have by then.
Sorry pass, good luck Peter Forsberg.

I was actually thinking they can pay us back by allowing us to have exclusive rights to negotiate with Heatley in June of '08.

Why in God's name would you burn Forsberg's Flyers jersey? It's not like he left here on bad terms. Watching him play for the Flyers was quite a treat, and I hope we get to see it again this upcoming season.

With another proven #1 center and dynamic offensive playmaker like Briere in the lineup, the "when will Forsberg come back from his latest injury" worry would be greatly reduced. Rather than relying on Forsberg as the be-all-end-all on offense like last season, he'd just be an added luxury, and our success wouldn't basically depend solely on him being in the lineup.

For the cost of doing all that, you might as well buy a brand new jersey and get it customized.

Also, you could always put a "Smith" nameplate on a #21 Forsberg jersey, even if it might only be relevant for one season.

Don't worry, head over to the Oilers board and tell them about burning this and you'll be more warmly received I'm sure.
