Question on Jonas Hoglund and random questions

Just curious what you think his future holds? I know he's in Europe right now, skating with the Swiss. Think he'll return to NA in a year ..do a simliar thing Ulf Dahlen did in the late 90's ? BTW how's Andreas Salomonsson doing so far with MoDo this season. Hope He's got his confidence back. Anyone know what Patrik Carnback is doing now that he is retired?
Thanks,
Mike

Yeah... Hoglund's still got something left in the tank. Though he wasn't a fan favourite in Toronto... I'd say there are atleast 10-15 teams that would take him on.

He's still good for 30-40 points if he makes it back.

Not a bad player, but he seemed very "unlucky" to say it best... his shots would either go wide, hit someone, or hit the goaltenders crest right on.

But he was a good defensive player and a good character guy.

The thing may be that he didn't want to play in the AHL... and decided to play in Switzerland after Florida decided to play the younger guys over Hogy.

I think the money is better in Switzerland than in the AHL too and it's closer to home. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hogie back in Färjestad next year if he doesn't get a proper NHL offer.

Andreas Salomonsson has probably been MoDo's best player this season along with Per Svartvadet. He is scoring plenty of points and perhaps the only forward producing offensively (stars like Magnus Wernblom, Peter Högardh has either been injured or out of shape).

Should be a lock to make the Swedish WC-team.
