As per the daunting sports authority that is the East Valley Tribune:

Call me sentimental, but I'd take JR back as a 4th line center at league minimum just for his tenacity and mouth.

If all the right components are there -- proper situation, his will and determination, family and health, etc. -- 500 goals is a magical number that is too close to overlook from his personal perspective.

I'd take Leclair back over Roenick if we are going for the whole...help them out thing.

Let Leclair retire a flyer before helping Jr get 5 goals.

Like I said before, give him Steve Coates's job.

he was simply AWFUL in the booth during the World Cup... he might work as a studio guy, but i really didn't like him doing those games. obviously practice would help... but he was just all over the place.

i would possibly give JR league minimum to play on the 4th line... however, he had some attitude issues in PHX when it became apparent that he was over the hill. we would also need to move Umberger in that scenario.

He was pretty awful on TSN during the playoffs too.

Over Umberger, I'd take Roenick in a heartbeat as well. Plus he is a player who could be used in the 2 or 3rd lines if Lupul stinks for if injuries hurt us again.

This way we can trade Umberger for prospects of draft picks.

But only if Roenick signs for 1 Million or less.

Why dont they go after LeClair? Or Roenick? Or Amonte?

The best move for his career would be to go to NBC

In studio or in-game analyst? Yes on the former not so much on the latter.

As I've said when Cherry was on during the POs, toss in Cherry and Barry Melrose and give the four an hour show. I believe Hull is now off NBC because of his commitment to the Dallas Stars in a managerial capacity.

That would be a great show no doubt. I had forgotten about Hull leaving for a front office job in Dallas.
