One more thing, you listed Busto as a foward. I thought he was a defenseman?

kveton, add hagelin

i think barnes should be left out of this as he was added to late to be placed where he should and any voting conducting on his behalf other than maybe the guy who is friends with his dad is based upon hearsay at this point.

Thanks Rod

Bogans, I do believe I am going to leave Barnes out of this ranking. He's going to end up somewhere where he shouldn't have so it will just make it inaccurate.

I'm going to remove him from the nominations next round.

What does it say about these polls that Potter isn't even in the top 20 and he might play for the Rangers this season?

he is another kid that's going to come from out of nowhere and everybody is going to say "i knew it!"

how do you figure?

(current depth chart - I, personally hope staal is higher, but this is as of right now) 1. roszy 2. malik 3. tyutin 4. mara 5. girardi 6. pock 7. strudwick 8. staal 9. baranka 10. potter

do you really think he will move up that far in the organizational rankings or do you think we lose three defenseman to injury during the season??

EDIT: oh yeah, add hutchinson in there now too ahead of potter

I've been voting for him for several rounds now. He's definitely lower than he should be.

this #22 poll is really just a formality, I don't really understand why the guy who nearly wins the runoff for #21 isn't an automatic for the 22 spot

You think that? I think that is an extreme longshot. Sure he surprised a lot people last year (me especially, I was not a big fan of him in the NCAA) but I still think he has a ways to go before even thinking about getting called up to the NHL.

I think #23 is a decent spot for him, he didnt even make the list last time around. And that places him right where I think he should be on our defensive depth:

1)Staal
2)Girardi
3)Sang
4)Sauer
5)Baranka
6)Potter
7)Reese/Lifiton/Taylor/Busto/Lampman etc all behind him.

(though i'd maybe switch Sang with Sauer)

Is Marc-Andre Cliche still in the Rangers system?

How's he coming along, if so? He was a second round pick, did he bust?

I think your depth chart is dead on ('cept didn't we trade Lampman?), but I do think he should be a little higher in the overall rankings. The last dman to go was Baranka at 14, so the depth chart would remain the same even if he was a couple spots higher (Jessiman higher? come on...). When you get down this far in the rankings it can be pretty hard to slot guys in.

Makes sense, Fly, but ya know.... it's interesting - based on what I've read about Barnes and looking at our list as it stands, I think he probably would've slotted in not TOO far away from here. I'd put him maybe around where Jessiman stands.
