Selanne

How much do you think he'd ask for in salary? Eklund's listed Dallas as one of 4 teams Selanne could sign with, as he reportedly put his house up for sale in Cali, which may mean he's either retiring or moving to another team. Or neither, but it's fun to speculate.

I think he'd be a great addition to Dallas if we were able to land him for around $4 mil or so. No other team caters so well to Finns, he'd feel right at home!

I believe a 1 year deal worth 4 or 4.5 million. He would be a great addition to this team. I think he would lead the team in scoring, and if playing with his country men helps, we should be able to sign him.

He has said several times on interviews that if he continues his career he will play in Anaheim.

However, I believe Selänne in this case because it is his family what matters, they will stay in their LA area home and Teemu has told that if he will continue his career he will do it from home (= Anaheim)

I think Dallas might be attractive to Selanne because of the numbers of Finns/an old buddy on the club in Lehtinen and a very attractive city for families and hockey players (no state income tax, yay!).

The Stars would have to clear some cap space to sign him. They're at $45 million without Jokinen and Miettinen signed, and those two would make 24 roster players. So they'd have to move both bodies and cap hits.

However, I doubt he ends up in Dallas. I really think he'll retire.
