Below is the release from the Rangers.

Sorry, guys, no Puerto Rico trip this year, but here’s the good news: You get to go to Detroit!

New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced the Rangers 2007 pre-season schedule today, featuring three games at Madison Square Garden and a total of six games in nine days.

The Rangers exhibition schedule consists of three back-to-back sets, including games at Madison Square Garden on Friday, September 21 vs. New Jersey and Saturday, September 22 vs. Philadelphia, which will kick off the 2007 pre-season. The Rangers will then head to Long Island to face the cross-town rival New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum on Monday, September 24 in the first of back-to-back games. In the second game of the back-to-back set, the Blueshirts will take on the Red Wings in Detroit on Tuesday, September 25. On Friday, September 28, the Rangers return to The Garden to host the Islanders in their final home pre-season game before wrapping up the pre-season schedule at Philadelphia versus the Flyers on Saturday, September 29 in the second of back-to-back games.

The 2007 New York Rangers will take the ice for the first day of training camp on Friday, September 14. All players will go through physical testing at the Madison Square Garden Training Facility on Thursday, September 13.

im suffering big time over here. its strange, the older i get, the more psychotic i get about hockey, and the less interested in other sports i become.

strange.

anyways, last year about 1/2 the games where on tv on MSG. id expect the same thing this year.

unfortunately i will have to rely on online-streams , and its true what you are saying.

not even 4 years ago i was REALLY involved into soccer, i played every day, earned a buck or two, tried to watch as much as possible but the interest slowly faded away up to this point where i found myself not even giving a damn who real madrid acquired or worse, not caring about roberto carlos´ departure. to me, hockey is the be all, end all of sports. nothing comes close, and i notice it big time around this time of the year

they would never do that, they rather broadcast infomercials or horse racing.

MSG normally televises 2 of the 3 home games (we used to play 9 pre-season games), but the nice part was we'd normally play Boston at least once and pick up ther telecast from NESN (Boston's station). We'll have to hope Fox Sports NY and Fox Sports Detroit televises the Devils & Red Wings pre-season games, which is a possibility.

i play soccer if i have a game on a rangers night, i have to go to my game, but as soon as its home i bolt to the car (we live down the street from the school) and we get home, and my sister is usually watching disney channel and i have to grab the remote and change it, and she usually put up this argument like "i was here first". you have no idea how mad that makes me
but me and my dad always watch the games, so her and my mom have to watch tv in the other room. MUAHAHA! and this year we have a widescreen TV (twice the size of my other one) and HD!!! i cant wait!!!!

That would be awesome. Wonder what it would take. How many games does that regional CT/New England network broadcast (can't remember the name of it)?

actually they televise all of the games at MSG but none on the road but if you have direct TV you can watch the other regional networks like Fox sports Detroit and catch the road games, except for the Devils and Isles who don't broadcast any preseason games.

The Rangers are playing the Flyers again instead of the Bruins

Mitch Fritz and Francis Lessard will be busy boys

I like the fact that they are playing Detroit this pre-season. Cant wait until I can see some new hockey games, I've been stuck watching Ranger Fan Faves and the Devils and Isles 15 to Remember

Wow. As much as I love hockey and the Rangers and the US National Hockey Team, I still have time to follow the New York Red Bulls and the US National Soccer Team.

well i wouldve the time too, its just that i dont care anymore. especially after i realized how boring it is to watch. its great to play it yourself, but at this point i have a real hard time watching a complete soccer game. as far as my personal excitement goes, it ranks with football, golf, baseball and nascar.
i honestly would fall asleep if i attempted to watch.
