I like mine up to the bottom of my chin on skates. I play FW in roller hockey and hardly ever take a slapshot, so the added control when stickhandling and quickly releasing wristers/snappers significantly outweighs what the added length would bring to my slapper and poke check. I've tried going up to the lips or the nose and my wrist shot just falls apart.
Up to my nose, i'm a good stick-handler and would be better if i had a shorter stick but i like the fell of a long stick.
Same here man...
I'm 5'10 and my stick comes up to the bottom of my nose...
I need a longer stick for better slapshots and for better defensive play (I'm a forward though but like to poke check)... I feel my stick handling is still damn good for the length of the stick that i use...

Let's assume he skates with his nose above his chin.
Mine is probably just a little too long for someone who goes forward, as my stickhandling suffers a bit from it, but I've been playing a bit of defence lately so that extra reach comes in handy, particularly when you're only 5'8"
