Hopefully this doesn't affect the way prospects develop in Hartford too much.

it wont because the article said that Schoenfeld would stay as GM of the wolfpack and Gernander has been there long enough to know what Schoenfeld wants and how the team and players are supposed to be handled- it will be fine- good move tho

Another great job by Slats

Quote:
New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that the club has promoted Jim Schoenfeld to Assistant General Manager, Player Personnel & General Manager, Hartford Wolf Pack; Cameron Hope to Assistant General Manager, Hockey Administration; Gordie Clark to Director, Player Personnel; Jim Hammett to Head Amateur Scout and John Rosasco to Vice President, Public Relations and Player Recruitment.
http://www.newyorkrangers.com/pressb...es.asp?id=2973

Hammett was most recently the chief scout of Hockey Canada. He has NHL experience with the Avs and Preds.Hammett will now run the drafts. He was on my short list along with Sheldon Ferguson

Cam Hope is one of the best cap guys in the business

The Rangers split Maloney's duties between Schoenfeld and Clark

Sounds familiar

Quote:
It appears as of right now the Rangers will likely split the Don Maloney duties between Gordie Clark and Jim Schoenfeld. Both men will be elevated and given more responsibilties.Maloney had such a broad power base that it takes two individuals to fill the role. It's similiar to what happened ten years ago when Larry Pleau went to St.Louis to become their GM.The Rangers hired Don Maloney and John Paddock to cover Pleau's responsibilities

I read about the Hammett hiring last week

Thursday July 19

Quote:
On the subject of Hockey Canada, sources confirm that its head scout, Kelowna-based Jim Hammett, is about to make a move to the New York Rangers. Look for an announcement from the Rangers sometime next week. Hammett was the Colorado Avalanche's head scout before moving to Hockey Canada
Friday July 20

Quote:
With Jim Hammett leaving as Hockey Canadaís head scout to join the New York Rangers (watch for that announcement next week), you have to wonder if Sheldon Ferguson wonít go back to Hockey Canada. Ferguson, who once was HCís head scout, left the Carolina Hurricanes to sign on as GM of the OHLís Saginaw Spirit earlier this month. But he vacated that position five days later citing personal reasons

they can't, he is going to arbitration. so pretty much he is stuck with us if we accept arbitration, or sign him before the hearing.

By long enough, you mean forever? Gernander is Mr. Wolfpack, he's been with the team since Day 1.

Look, no offense, but do you bother reading the board? A lot of the questions you answer have been answered many times.

Pierre Dorion has left the Rangers scouting staff

Quote:
Pierre Dorion was officially added to the Senators' scouting department yesterday, given the same responsibilities -- scouting the amateur ranks in Canada, the U.S. and Europe -- has he had with the New York Rangers the previous two seasons.

Dorion, an Orleans native, was the Montreal Canadiens co-ordinator of amateur scouting for four seasons prior to joining the Rangers
http://ottsun.canoe.ca/Sports/Senato...81589-sun.html

He joined Tim Murray in Ottawa
